The Project Renaissance in its beginning was the inspired dream of Maria De Lourdes Campos to improve the teaching techniques in Ecuadorian schools for young children. These training programs have been the result of her training in the USA in the Montessori and Right Brain Education. Also the transfer of her training in the field of childhood nutrition. Teaching and counseling is offered in formal training plus as private consultation to help not only the child’s health but to also help the teachers of children and their parents.

There is a great need for the supply of educational material for the children as an ongoing basis.

In time Maria's projects grew into other areas of practical needs for the children’s physical needs as well. Since then Maria has been steering the installation of much needed bathroom, toilet and kitchen equipment. Helping the children to have constant supply of hygiene and water for drinking and flushing of the toilets. This has put a smile on the children and teachers faces. Most of the work in the beginning has been conducted in the rural areas around the city of Quito. Follow up programs are offered to encourage the teachers to implement the previous training provided.
