From 1989-90, Maria de Lourdes was hired by the First Lady of Ecuador to serve families and children. In this position, she supervised the education of personnel in 10 homes and 500 homeless, orphaned children by teaching sanitation and health.
She also provided weekly nutritional menus and taught cooking classes to kitchen personnel in all homes. During this time, she was a providor in every way for these children--health, sanitation, nutrition and the development of virtues, values and self esteem.
She later received Montessori and Right Brain teacher training in Montana, USA and worked in teaching from 1996-1999 and developing her knowledge and skills in Right Brain education from 2001-2003.
Maria de Lourdes has combined her passion and love of teaching children with her comprehensive training to establish Conexion Vital ("Vital Connection"), a non-profit organization in Ecuador dedicated to providing the very best quality of Montessori and Right Brain education to the children of Ecuador and all of South America. In the US, the non-profit Lifeline Mission serves to support Maria's work.
